I had no classes today, so I was messing around with jewelry and mostly wire. I was getting frustrated when everything I was making looked really sucky, so I decided to just do random swirlies.
It looked very plain, so I wrapped the swirlies in thinner wire. That still
looked not-so-great, so I added more strands to the earcuff and wire-wrapped them on. It started looking cool, so then I just added more wire wrapping to the rest of the cuff.
And, for some inane reason, it reminds me of a kaleidescope. So there. Kaleidescope earcuff.
This was made with 22-gauge wire, 30-gauge wire, and my hands and a pair of fantastic mini-pliers.
(If you've noticed, this earcuff is weird, because it's a left-ear one. Most of the earcuffs I've done are for the right ear only.)
EDIT: Rrrrr, these pictures suck. Here are more
. Still sucky, but perhaps slightly easier to see?
